Esófago Negro Secundario a Esofagitis Necrotizante Aguda. Reporte de un caso
Resumen
Acute esophageal necrosis, which presents as a black esophagus on endoscopy, is an uncommon entity that has been described by Goldenberg et al. in 1990. It is defined as a dark pigmentation of the esophagus associated with histologic mucosal necrosis. A total of 100 patients were reported in the literature. We report the case of a 75-year-old men who developed black esophagus due to acute esophageal necrosis by septicaemia and summarize the other published cases to date.
